Types of Guitars

So the first type is Classical guitar. It has the same normal 6 strings but the unique is that its tuning pegs are made of plastic. The strings are from nylon. And the fret board size is bigger than other types of guitar approx. 2 inches. When you play classical guitar, you’ll get this smooth and sweet tone which for sure it’s suit for the classical music just like the name say so.

The 2nd type we’re gonna talk about is Acoustic guitar. It is similar to Classical guitar but the tuning key and the strings are made of steel instead. Fret board is smaller but the body will be bigger and stronger. Normally acoustic guitar will be used in modern music and you’ll get a clearer and brighter tone than the Classic’s.

Next is Bass guitar. Yes, it is the one that we normally call it just “Bass”. The difference is that Bass will have only 4 strings and the strings are bigger than normal guitar. Each strings represents (from the top) note E A D and G, respectively. Every bass must have a plug-in, otherwise you will not hear anything when you play. And the reason is because it doesn’t has a sound hole like Classical or Acoustic guitar.

The last but not least is electric guitar. Its body will not have a sound hole. The strings are made of steel, also it needs a pickup device which is a transducer that captures mechanical vibrations to amplifier so that you’ll hear its sound. The types of pickup and its position also affect the sound you’ll get. Electric guitar is normally played with effect which gives you so many different sounds you can imagine.
